Water management and energy recovery can improve a system’s sustainability efficiency in cost-effective solution. This research assesses the renewable sources used water sector, as well related sector performance indicators within Portuguese systems. A deep analysis of 432 entities Portugal, based on ERSAR data base, was conducted order to identify factors be improved regarding system efficiency. On other hand, potential developed REDAWN project also reference for application micro hydropower (MHP) solutions sector. nexus model then systems sustainability. real case study Africa, Nampula supply system, located Mozambique, selected promising recovery. Consequently, creates total benefit 7604 EUR/year.
